so i decided on an 07 pontiac grand prix from a local dealer as the car i'm going to take to college. i came to this conclusion primarily because it was reasonably priced ($13000, after taxes and license), well equiped (leather interior, sun roof, remote start), and a generaly nice car. but the engine seems to lack torque, especially at low rpms. now i'm not looking for huge leaps in power, another 50 at maximum, but just something to add a little bit more fun. know what i'm getting at? so what direction should i look for easy gains in power for this engine?

sorry if this has been asked before, i took a quick look over the page and didn't see anything. thank you.

do you have an N/A motor or the blown one? that will change the parts you should buy.

...well..the N/A motor is hard to make much power. i would start with a downpipe and an intake. maybe an HV3 from ZZP? maybe some rockers if you want to get that far into it...

    my bad.
Have you ever worked on a GP before? If you aren't to mechanically inclined then they are a PITA, especially depending on what headers you buy.

I say 180* T-Stat, Colder Plugs, Ported TB, HV3, ZZP 1.9 Modded Rockers, Front PLOG, 3" Downpipe/U-Bend Delete, Tuned PCM...that should be good for 50 ft. lbs. of torque...right?
