was rebuilding the series 3 3800 in our lemons race truck and noticed the back of the cam was open, then pulled the back cover off of our spare motor and same thing. Looking at rockauto they have a cam plug and one of the repair manuals stated that the plug needed to be drove in flush to the block. Now i'm giving myself a complex trying to decide what is the right way. Any help or info would be appreciated.

The S2 and S3 3.8 have the exact same block. Neither use a cam plug. The back cover is the backing to the cam.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
