For the last few days I've been getting a low coolant light each time I top it off. Today I discovered some coolant around near the throttle body near part of the upper intake manifold. Doesn't appear that the thermostat housing is leaking. It doesn't appear to be coming from the lower intake manifold gasket.

I did lim and uim gaskets last year. I replaced the upper intake manifold with the egr upgraded pipe. Did all new gaskets and coolant elbows. I did have to replace a coolant elbow already because the dex cool ate the rubber o ring on one.

Could it be my throttle body gasket leaking? I took pics but it won't let me upload them. And it's hard to get a good pic

If my uim is leaking, can it cause condensation in the oil?

If the UIM is leaking it will either eat the coolant or leak it outside, it's not really ever going to find it's way into the oil like a LIM failure would.

Condensation under the oil cap is completely normal with lower ambient temps, if you short trip the car it will be more build up for sure.

If you have found the coolant leak you are pretty much found the problem. Replace the easy gasket first and see if that fixes it and if not, then you know you need a new UIM gasket. You'd also likely know if the TB gasket is the issue when you pull the throttle body, but if it's dry and not wet it's the UIM gasket.

You mean pull the throttle body and peek inside the uim with a flash light to see if it's wet or dry?

I used a dorman uim kit last year, all new gaskets plus tb gasket and upgraded egr port.

Can dex cool eat up these gaskets? I already lost an o ring that basically disintegrated on one of the new aluminum coolant elbows

I mean pull the TB off and see what that gasket looks like, replace it and re-install. If the leak is still there, then it's the UIM.

The new dexcool forumla is not going to eat gaskets anymore, the stuff they have been making for the last 6-7 years is far better than the stuff they made 10-15 years ago.

Sucks because I just did that last year lol. Did everything proper too. My radiator has a lot of sludge built up too. Last time I used coolant I mixed the old with new universal orange coolant

Gasket looks good. See no leaks.

However, the tb stud/stud underneath the tb linkage was very loose. I put it all back together and tightened it snug. So far no leaks lol. Guess it was from the loose stud/nut but I'll keep an eye on it
