i know of one guy whos happy with his ssm90 kit he over paid for. but he added a l67 balancer and pulleys to run two belts.

even he said if he knew better back then he'd have just top swapped it for far less money.

What exactly has it been doing then? I've been interested in their kit for a while, maybe it can be pieced together from the salvage for cheaper?

Check this diagram for a l67 setup. Should help you find it.

RaysJD i guess for me it wasn't worth it. Getting everything to play nice is very difficult. PCM tuning never settled in for me. Belt slip and a thousand little things. should have just top swapped or turboed.

your this deep already. swap the balancer add th eidler stand and the l67 coil bracket ditch the ssm90 pulley use a normal one with 2 belts.

are you tuning it or canned tune?

Sounds like it needed a snout seal and a tune worth a crap (Not a canned PCM)

Don't be mad at the platform because we all would have told you it was worthless to buy the SSM90 kit. It has no success; ever.

so? we all need to start and learn somewhere and at some time, or pay for crappy canned tunes.

when i got my tuner i knew less then nothing.

having the ability to learn is more important. I knew nothing about tuning either, and still don't know much, but I know how to add timing and adjust the maf table, and it is a good start. these cars don't have a lot of things to adjust either. I was looking at a sample tune for a newer Chevy Cruze, and there were more things to adjust on one page of that tune than in the whole grand prix.
