I got a belt tensioner from auto zone and it only needs one coolant elbow any one else here about this... the part works and fits also when re connecting the heater lines the bottom hose goes on the top correct because that so the only way it would fit thanks

your lower elbow is cast to the alt bracket. you wiggle the old alt bracket off carefully so you dont crack the timing cover, then clean the hole. then if the new alt bracket dont come with a new O ring take the one that fits from the unused elbow from the new elbows you bought and roll it on the cast elbow on the alt bracket.

oil the o rings and slide them in the holes.

I replaced the belt tensioner and it fits I'm not leaking ( that I know of) so I'm more then certain I did it right... the hoses that connect to the tensioner that run from the fire wall bottom connected to the top is that correct or am I upside down?

The hose that comes out the top on firewall goes to the top of the bracket iirc.

For some reason the brackets with the 10 mm bolts wouldn't fit that way so I'm wondering if i bent the bracket to much? And will ut hurt the car if i drive it like that?

Why did you remove the little brackets? Put them back where ever they were and just pull hoses off.

Something tells me you got the wrong part. Can you post pics of the old and the new one?

i bet the new alt bracket failed to have the ends. so you take your old ones off and re use them.

you can try to bend the metal tab the bolt goes through if it wont line up right for some reason.

whats backwards, the way the hoses are to the heater core? dont think that would matter.

There are two hoses that go from the fire wall to the belt tensioner assembly... if they are backwards will it effect my engine I started it when I put on the belt but only for 5 min. Can't post a pic until tomorrow

i dont see how the hoses being swapped can hurt any thing.
