You are best off finding motor and tranny together....if this is the route you want to take
Id rather make 2k and sell the car for 1500 or so and grab something with a 3800 in it

Engine trans engine harness and pcm from a 99-02 gtp would be best bet.

*3100/3400 are known for head gasket issues. The early 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4DOHC 60°s are not.Quote:

Scotty, are you saying oil can't get into the coolant if the head gasket fails between an oil and coolant passage? Before I bought my previous GTP, I test drove a GTX that looked to have oil in the radiator and coolant reservoir (extremely dark brown to black).
Wow...one time my dad and I drove 2 hours to see a 1992 Chevy Cavalier Z24 and we didn't buy it. I bought a 1987 Ford Thunderbird with 66,000 miles on it in 2003....you and your father need to talk LOL.

its almost impossible to happen. unless you have a oil cooler in the rad, then it can happen if the cooler breaks. but id think the coolant in the engine would be a bigger problem really cause if its pushing oil out, its also sucking coolant back into the engine.
