Aftermarket radio and the power antenna doesn't raise. Is it supposed to raise when you turn on the ignition? Or is it tied into the radio? Or both? I read a write up about trouble shooting it and taking it out of the trunk and I guess seeing if the motor runs on it or something to that effect? Do these things commonly fail? This seems like a pretty straight forward walk-thru:
    Code:

or are there other things I wanna look at first?

    Thanks for any help.

re read your installation directions, theres a wire for the power antenna in the cars harness. it needs to be told to go up.

most radios will have a wire labeled power antenna.

LOL I didn't do the install but I thought about what if its not hooked up to the radio. I'll pull off the dash and take a look as soon as its warm enough here.

i figured you just installed it lol

im sure you could run a toggle switch to the antenna wire to power it.

you could also check for power at the antennas plug. maybe its got power but its just not working. and check the fuse box, there maybe a blown fuse for it.
