I have a '96 Grand Prix SE, that has a somewhat slow oil leak. I've checked the front and rear valve covers and they're clean. The oil seems to be dripping between the head and rear valve cover dripping onto the oil pan. I spoke to a mechanic recently who told me that it seems to be a lower intake manifold gasket. The car has a cylinder 1 miss fire (p0301) the miss fire seems to only happen when the car gets hot. On occasion it will also idle roughly. It has a new fuel pump, ignition coils are all 100% functioning and a new ignition control module. The oil only drips when the car is running and seems to drip a lot more profusely when the car is higher than idle speeds.

A good bet is that the intake gaskets are a helping cause to the oil leak.

You remove the whole top end to replace them and hopefully the new gaskets would stop the leak.

Good idea to get the cooling system pressure tested. These engines eat up the original plastic LIM gasket at about 80-100K miles.
