So my low coolant light started flashing at me. I've had a small leak so I wasn't too surprised (although I've never let it get that low). I went to fill it up, but the overflow tank was full. I checked the send and return hoses, which were nice and hot so it isn't the thermostat. It is running at normal operating temperature, no overheating or anything. I changed the water pump about a month ago because the last one seized up. The only thing I did just before the light came on was put in new rear speakers, but I don't see how that could be related, unless it's a fuse of some sort.

    1. Other than a faulty sensor, what else might this be? I want to be prepared for when I replace the sensor and it still comes on.

    2. Where is the freaking sensor? For now I just want to unplug it so it stops flashing in my face. It's super annoying.

    It's a sexy 96 3.1 SE.

Do you have air in the system?

    Problem, found.

I'd also remove the level sensor and clean it. Sometimes when they get gunked up over time...they read inaccuratly.

No air in the system. Bled it then bled it again. I'll try cleaning it.....once I find the darn thing. Thanks guys!

Wait..3.1 means you only can add into the overflow right?

That's the easiest way to do it, but I can add to the radiator if need be.

No worries..It's a 3.1L and it's merely saying "hi, I'm about to fail in some catastrophic and graphic display of affection to you, prep your wallet."

I'm almost at the 200k mark so I can't complain. I'll still look cool pushing it everywhere, right?

It's cool when Honda owners push, because we laugh. It's not cool pushing a 3.1...that infers you want to keep it.

Haha I love this car. Of course a 3800 would be nice....but I'm proud of my car. It runs like a champ, disregarding small things like this and my blinker. I'd like to do a top swap, but I doubt it's worth it. Oh, and it's sexy too

3500 Top Swap with ported crap wouldn't be bad if you'd be in there swapping all the gaskets out anyways...right?

I am dealing with this same issue with my 99 gtp! recently had a coolant leak in a prestone t-fill that was installed in the car by previous owner and that had faulted out! replaced it with a new one, and no more leaks. filled everything back up, and no over heating car runs good, optimal temps but light won't quit flashing its like finishing a race and realizing you forgot to cross the finish line lol! I totally feel ur pain "paraniod"
UPDATED MODS....GreenBastard HP powertune, CAI, BlueGTP91 Engine bay detail, Finished painted Dash,Hogans Performance DP, Flow Master 40's, Still Missing driver side badge 4 weight reduction.... More Mods Coming Soon!!
