A 3.1 and 3100 are different motors. The majority of the block and internals are the same, but the top end is completely different. The exhaust manifold port holes will not match up to the manifolds, so you'd have to custom make them. Plus the McLaren TGP came with a ridiculously small Garrett T-25 which was meant for 4-bangers. You'd be better off making a custom turbo kit on your own considering how much you'd have to customize on this kit to make it work on a 3100 for such an underpowered turbo.
PREVIOUS: '89 Pontiac 6000 STE AWD (2/1376), '90 Pontiac GP SE McLaren Turbo (1/2749)
'90 Pontiac Grand Prix STE McLaren Turbo (1/1000), '01 Pontiac GP GTP Special Edition (1/1341)
CURRENT: '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (ugh...boring regular one)

There's a guy local here that has a cavy station wagon with a 3.1 and a turbo setup. The car weighs around 2600lbs. He walked away from a 650hp C6.

That's definitely a steal. Hope someone picks it up.
