    i have a 1996 grand prix 3.1 V6
it runs fine when the car is cool..if i drive it for like 30 min and the car warms up it will start to jerk a little and the rpms will jump up and down then it will start to sound like it is clogged..it will die after this happens..sometimes it wont start up after this happens for 15 min or so ..then sometimes starts right up.....it idles fine....I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump I have also changed the MAP sensor. the car doesnt get hot stays at running temp around 160 -170.. we had a scan on it it said a EVAP purge valve solenoid ..would that cause the problem we are having with the car? please if anyone has any advice or can tell me whats causing this please help !!!

could be a clogged cat. pull the front 02 sensor and take it for a drive when hot and see if it runs better.

It'll make it loud and you'll get chitty MPG's when you go out and drive it to see if it runs like crap or not.

You may have a stuck TCM valve in the tranny. The issues are as you describe and only show up at operating temps.
