I have had my 2000se for about 2months now,and it seems to have had some common problems for the grand prix, such as the low coolant light, wheel bearing, and a noise in the transmission after a little while of driving. Recently I get a small whif of fuel when I come off the highway, It doesn't happen all the time and seems to have no pattern,I'm in the process of checking my mpg does anyone know the tank size 12-15 gal?the engine is a 3.1 SFI.

dunno the tank size but the smell could be evap emissions, maybe an injector o ring, fuel line connection, look for leaks, smel for leaks. if the evap emissions fail there should be an engine light. even a bag gas cap can cause the smell and usually sets an evap code service engine light

Only reason i wouldnt say cap is because i just got that code for cap not being tightened. My old car had the same prob came to find out it was the fuel injector

haven't had a chance because of the cold weather to look at it real close yet,but I think it's coming from something that looks like a fuel filter, but I don't think it is.it's located directly to the left of the throttle cable on the intake. No codes thrown yet.
