so, i had my car for 5 yrs since it has 180k miles i had it ive replace the transmission around 120k due to a bad solenoid , change the water pump, starter, altenator, o2 sensor, all 6 coils, harmonic balencer, and remove and replace the intake manifold gaskets, great car but ive had to many thing wrong with it.

anyhow i just got it working again, nothing was wrong with it just had to pay some fines.

now that its running its vibrating a lot when idle and pulls on the fwy and streets here and there

just replace all 6 spark plugs and wires.

it turn on for a few sec (2-5 sec) then turn off again

my obd scanner says its has 3 codes

P0131 which has to do with the o2 sensor
p0336 which is the crankshaft position sensor
p1811 (max adopt and long shift) don't know what that is except that it has something to do with the transmission.

i just want some input do i need a special tool before i replace the crankshaft position sensor and where exactly is it? and what exactly is P1811? oh and any-help with the vibrating- although i think its the harmonic balanced.

thanks

the crankshaft position sensor is right behind the engine pulley.
you have to remove the pulley (with a puller), then you`ll see it on the lower right side.
to get to the pulley, you can remove the right wheel (alternator side) it`s just for convenient- you don`t have to. remove the plastic cover. its right in front of you. 2 bolts holds the sensor.
with proper tools, it`s a ~30 minutes job max.
good luck!
here you can see the sensor (blue colored):

They is also one near the oil pan that goes inside the engine block. This engine uses a 7x and a 24x crank sensor. http://repairguide.autozone.com/znet...3f802026e9.jpg
