So I gave away my old 91 GP SE to my younger brother, it's a 3.1 automatic and he took it back to his hometown and now it broke down on him.

My older brother is trying to help him fix it and they can't find what's wrong with it.

The car starts fine when it's cold and after a while of driving it, it just dies and when they turn the key they have a hard time making it turn on again and keeping it running.

So far they've changed, the plugs, wires, MAP, oxygen sensor, air filter, oil, oil filter, gas filter, crankshaft position sensor, alternator (lol), the ECM has no codes.

They tell me that the main fan is not turning on on it's own even when they turn on the AC, but if they close the circuit manually, it does turn on.

Any ideas? So far I think it may be the ECM that's busted.

It doesn't have a CAT and the fuel pump was replaced too (I knew there was something missing from that list LoL). Thanks for the input though.

I just got info that the problems only occur when the gas level is below half tank. The gas pump is new now I'm thinking it could be related to the EGR system?
