Re: Hard Start When Warm
I know it's been quite awhile since I last reported, but it has been hot outside and unfortunately yesterday I got another very obvious hard start. While it seems to be less frequent, that might just be wishful thinking. The FPR probably wasn't the culprit. Oh well I'm not going to fret about it anymore.

Re: Hard Start When Warm
Did you ever figure out why your fuel pressure would drop off?

Re: Hard Start When Warm
I didn't. Obviously it wasn't the FPR since both the old and the new have the issue. It wasn't the injectors because I had my oil tested and there was no fuel content. The only thing it could be is either A) it's normal or B) it's leaking through the check valve. Right now I'm not going to worry about the hard start unless it becomes a major issue.

Re: Hard Start When Warm
I was always under the impression that it's just the way these things are. I have seen so many 3800's that do this. Oddly the 04+ don't seem to have the issue really. Makes me think it's just the way the pcm is programmed.

Re: Hard Start When Warm
Yeah I'm also led to believe that it's in the PCM. I actually have the 3100 and it exhibits the same issue. Previously I drove a 94 Grand Am with the same drive train (just an older generation) and it never gave me this issue.
