Car has been sitting for almost a year, since the motor died. I've got a engine that I'm ready to drop in but my worry is the transmission. Anything I should do on the day i start her up to insure the trans isn't damaged? Am I worrying about nothing?

Worrying about nothing. Just make sure you support the passenger end of the trans when you yank the motor. That way you won't damage the axle boot or output seal on the trans.

Can you swap the motor from the top? I was gonna drop the subframe. Wasn't sure if there was enough room for the engine to slide over to pull it from the top.

At the top middle of the screen is a magnifying glass. click it..

Type in "Eas y" without the space in what you are searching for and then type in my name as the user. It's all there with teh tools needed etc etc etc. Enjoy
