So I bought a 99 GTP for $450 needed a solenoid in the Tranny I bought all the solenoids for a cheap deal figured save time down the road. I am deep into puking the side cover off the Tranny and I stripped 2 of the torx bolts they're behind the trans mount and no way to use a bolt extractor there any ideas suggestions tips. I'm completely stuck right now.

I have found a small chisel to put a groove in one side..then tapping in a counter clockwise fashion is often successful. You likely need to support the engine/trans better and lower the subframe further.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Use a metal chisel...not one for wood.

You can dremel them and then they should come out decently with vice grips.

If you can get one in there, that'll work too

you may be able to get a right angle grinder in there, or a sawsall should get to them.

id not use one of them just yet, try to get it out with out drilling it. if the cut slot dont work, or a metal chisel then as a last resort id drill and try an extractor.

I don't understand why gm used torx for 4 bolts but half inch for the other 20 it couldn't have bean for size constraints cus a wrench is a feel of a lot small than a torx bit

Funny part about those bolts. There is no logical reason. I use 4 more of the regular bolts in there and there's no clearance issues.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
