is it a 2pc chain or single chain? All the factory chains are an offset 2 chain setup. Pics?

Its 2 chain. But its a hyvo. Is that just a factory replacement

yeah. Not sure if there was a difference between the v8 and non-v8 ones but I am pretty sure gm used the Hy-Vo chains. I know Dave at TEP sells them in his rebuild kits.

All replacement chains are the V8 spec chains. Is it possible your's has been apart before?

It may be possible. Guy I bought the trans from said it was all stock never been touched out of a 98. Im thinking it may have been rebuilt? So no they dont come with the hyvo 2 chain?
