I have a dynotech transmission and it has the dynotech 7/8's chain and 300m input shaft. I have a set of gxp wheels with mickey thompson et streets. when I put those wheels and tires on is it hard launching like at the 1/4 mile that puts more stress on the IS? If I go a little easier on the launch and then go full throttle at like 15 mph will that reduce stress enough to ease my worries? the only person I know of that destroyed the dynotech 300m had a turbo build, so maybe I am being overly cautious.

xp cam, ported L32 heads, full size phenolic intercooler and a ported gen 3 supercharger.

You probably won't make enough power with an m90 to break a 300m. The hardest thing on them, is spinning the tires til they hook. When they hook, that is when most input shafts break. You are way better off dead hooking than spinning.

Likely only making ~315whp so I'd say a 300m is going to hold up pretty well.
Although you may have a trashed m90 case if it looks like all the other ported m90s I see on this board.
Which would mean you're probably making even less than that.

thanks for the input. salsilver2000 or something like that was the one that told me his dynotech 300m snapped on the first launch or shortly after. if I add methanol or nitrous will I be close to the threshold?
