would a transmission from a 3.8 na bolt up to the sc motor? aren't the internals just different?

Yeah it'll bolt right up. Assuming you're asking about a 98-02 it'll be fine just have a different gear ratio.

Converter is also different, you'll have to either use the hd converter with your L67, or swap an L36 flex plate onto it to use the non hd converter. The non hd one is lighter and stalls a bit higher, I'd use that one if you're not heavily modded.

you would also need the pcm tuned for the gear change.

some times they blow up. some sorta failure can be expected cause its not gonna shift right.

NA transmissions use a longer axle on the passenger side because the differential is shorter. You'd need a trans out of a newer car as the connector has a different pin arrangement than the 98-02 cars. The 02 may be different. Final gear ratio on the NA is 3.29 versus 2.93 on the SC trans.

Dave at Triple Edge Performance could probably help. He's a sponsor on this forum.
