This is the transmission out of a 2004 Chevy Impala SS Indy 500 Edition. I was thinking about working on it and swapping it into my 99 GTP but there is something electronic missing from this transmission. What affects would this have?

    There's a bit difference from 99 to 04.

The obvious box you see missing the the range selector switch. Very easy to add.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Since my wiring harness is already set up for the transmission that has the range selector switch, is it as simple as moving the range selector switch onto the new transmission then?

Is the 04 Impala transmission the same as the 04 GP transmissions? Because the engine from the 04 Impala was the L67, they didn't go to the Series III's I think until 05 or something
