    Hello again message board...

I come to you once again while I am working on my GTP in need of some assistance...

Can anyone shed some light on where or what part number the attached gasket is called/numbered?

I am in the process of changing out my TCC/PCS/Solenoids and I am having a hard time finding this gasket...

    Seal.jpg

I have read the plethora of advice and replies about the TCC replacement and I must say, GM should pay this forum for its help!

Any advice on the gasket would be much appreciated...

    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply and links...

I have looked around online and the only place I seem to find a refrence to it is eBay..

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/4T65E-4T65-E...7e746d&vxp=mtr

Although, I got the case gasket at napa for $25 and I can't see spending the extra $ for that seal (and another case gasket)...

I would expect to pay something around $5 - $10 (as like in your refrenced links)...

    Any info helps...

    Thanks again...

Usually that square cut seal comes with your new side cover gasket. We order side cover gaskets 5 at a time from rockauto and they always have the seal with them. They come in the seal kit too. A local transmission shop might have one on the shelf in leftover parts they could sell you for $5 or $10.

    Hey thanks for the reply...

Do you happen to have a part number for the case gasket from RockAuto? (edit -- found the gasket...at first I didn't see it under case gasket, they call it a "side cover seal")

I'll just return this Napa one and get it from RockAuto...

Although, I may have found it?

When I ordered mine from rock auto I did not get that seal!!! I had to reuse the old one! hmm I wonder if I got ripped. oh well. Anyways the square seal itself I think is this one. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...006&cc=1374768

    Just to update...

The RockAuto gasket in-fact came with the square seal...

Although, in the process of removing the solenoids, I broke every one of the damn clips...

I will be searching "how tos" on what others have done in this scenario...

I was as gentle as I could be...

    FS section here I come...

If the clips on the harness all break off really easy it is usually a sign that the trans has been really hot.

    Thanks for the reply...

It did appear that the fluid was pretty low when I started messing with it...

It also appears this harness is a 16 pin version, and I don't see one on flea bay for sale...

All the ones on there are 14, 17, and 19 pin, all except for the "universal" version....

I will prob be headed out to pick n pull this weekend to check out the GTPs that are there and get more grease under my nails...

Thanks again for all the replies...
