A couple months ago I recently changed my trans fluid/filter with Valvoline max life and some Lucas transmission fix because it started to slipping into gear's "long shifts". I haven't noticed anymore slipping since the fluid change and shifts a lot better then it used to!. Yesterday morning before I left work I started my car to let it warm up no more then 10 minutes before I left "37'F outside" . As soon as I got on the road I noticed that my RPM's were kinda fluttering but when it shifted it was fine "no slipping" It kinda felt like my car was acting like it wasn't getting enough fuel or it was misfiring? I've seen a video on youtube the was similar but not as bad.

Btw if a sensor or solenoid would go out in the trans would it throw a code?

It may set a code but trans codes are not going to light the CEL. You would have to have a scanner that reads the trans codes and most parts stores do not have this. A trans shop or a GM Tech II can read them.

Have you verified that the fluid is full after the trans is fully hot while running and in Park?

Yes I let the car run for about 10 minutes before I left when it started happening. I also noticed a week ago when I checked my trans fluid "haven't checked it in about a month" that the first to pulls had blackish stuff on the rag then it went to a clear redish color "normal" then a few days after that I checked and it was redish. I had another friend who also owns a GP check his fluid and his first pull was black but not as much as mine was then back to normal color.

Clutch material will bond to the dipstick sitting in the fluid, thats why its somewhat black on the first time you wipe it off.
