Subject vehicle is a 2004 GTP (non Comp G) 2.93 gears.
Have a line on a 2005 GTP (non-comp G) 2.93 gears transmission but want to know for sure before I buy something that may not work.
How about from a 2007 GP GT (L32 supercharged also) with 4T65E-HD (2.93 gear ratio)?

any 4t65 non tapship should work. If its a different gear ratio it will require tuning

I would like to think that but I just dealt with a 2005 Impala 3800 (L36) and the interchange said 05 Grand Prix non-supercharged transmissions were a direct swap.... it took less than 10 minutes of run time to burn the clutches out on two super-low mile transmissions out of 05 Grand Prix's... put a trans in out of another 05 Impala and was perfect.

That 05 GTP trans will be a direct swap with the 2004 GTP, because both are non COMP G.
That 07 trans should be the same aswell, because it too is not a COMP G transmission and has the same gearing as yours.
