hello while i was driving home a couple days ago on the highway, i was going to pass a car and i was going 65. i put the pedal down to the floor and it didnt downshift it just rapped out to 8000 rpms. i let off of the throttle and it shifted fine after that. didnt do it since when i tried it again. and the other day when i was driving in town i turned to go down to another street it downshifted into 1st and didnt shift out of 1st to 2nd just stayed in 1st. let off the gas and it went in. never did it again. also i noticed is when i am going 65 it doesnt seem like it wants to go into passing gear. just goes into 3rd. is there a certain speed the trans has to be at to go to passing gear. my car is a 1999 grand prix gt with 171,000 miles. engine runs great and tranny shifts smooth when i wasnt having these problems. any help will be appriciated. thanks.
