low fluid will make it slip. top off the fluid if it stops slipping, find and fix the leak.

Find said leaks, fix leaks, replace loss fluid and see what happens.

    Then you'll have your answer.

pretty sure a pin in the differential drops out of place, catches the cover and it breaks.

billboost37 has posted some pics in the past.

is it worth hd swap? And if so does it change my gears from 3.29s to 2.93s? Does it require tuning if it doesnt change gear ratio?

Step one, fix known issues. Did you tear the diff in half and it was slipping, then it cracked the case?

You aren't changing that gear ratio easily. That would require pulling the side cover.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Ok good cause I want the 3.29s. But is it worth upgrading to hd kit? Idk car has been slipping cold start up on take off normal driving but yesterday I was a dumbass pissed of and gave it some throttle and next thing I know I'm smoking get home look under the car and there's a chunk missing from the dif case.
