Hello All,

First and foremost, thank you in advance for any input that you provide.

I have just made arrangements to pick up a transgo shift kit for my 05 GXP. I spoke with an employee of a local transmission shop today. My understanding is that I can drop the pan and remove the accumulator so that I can replace the springs in it.

The transmission employee stated on these cars that they have to drop the whole transmission to get at it. Which in turn makes a simple upgrade a costly repair. Is this true? I highly doubt it as from what I've read the accumulator is easily accessible once the pan has been dropped and the filter removed.

Am I correct?

Thanks
