Hey guys, haven't been able to get a hold of Dave from TEP, so thought I would ask the trans builders here, assembling my 3rd clutch with the new sonnax billet 3rd piston and a zpack. Do you use the wave plate under the zpack steels or no? I have pretty much zero clearance if I do it that way, I could take out one of the zpack steels or keep out the wave plate. That will give me .060-.065" clearance which is still a little on the loose side, or if I add a scraped clutch plate I end up with about .025" clearance which is pretty tight, the bottom end of what Dave has suggested to me in the past when assembling a "regular" 3rd clutch stack. SO what are your opinions on how to assemble the 3rd clutch?
Another q.. those using the billet 3rd piston.. any changes to shift kit or spacer plate holes etc to even up the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts to the extra firmness of the 2-3? Thanks for any thoughts.
