    hey all,

    i have picked up a 2000 GT and it has a fried 4th gear but i came across a good deal on a tranny from an 06 will this tranny work in this car or do i have to look for something closer to that year?

    Street Wolf, what do you mean the clutches will work? AFAIK, the input clutches are different because of the diode sprag used in 03+.

    The '03's actually have the hardened 4th Clutch in them from the factory. So idk if it is just the HD tranny's from the GTP but the 4T65E's might have them...not sure...

    03 was an iffy year but most to all of those and newer 4T65Es had a hardened 4th shaft and those shafts will go backwards just fine
