Around that is pretty normal for 04-08 cars, the 97-03 seem to run a tad cooler.

If you wanted too, you can install a trans cooler to drop the temps a good amount.

This thread reminds me of something Ive been meaning to ask:

How hot is too hot for our transmissions? Last summer on the hottest day (95-100) I was on the road, stuck in Boston traffic. My trans temp peaked at 228F. Ive read blogs and forums all over the web that say 170 is too hot.

And on average, on a strictly freeway trip I see about 180. In the city on a mild day I'll see 200 tops.

    I use this chart.

So figure around 200ยบ ish the fluid will last 50,000 miles, and if it was my car I would do a little sooner than that.

Thanks guys. I actually hit 109 shortly after but it was like almost 40*C out with humidity. Converting it was around 228 F that the trans fluid was at for a bit. Anyways I now have 160kms (100 miles) on the car so guess to be safe I should do a fluid change.

One thing to keep in mind.. Our stock thermostat is 195F, the trans cooler is built in. This means the engineers figured that 195F degree fluid was going to cool the trans fluid. When stating that 100C doesn't seem quite so bad does it.. that's only a few degrees (C) difference.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
