-The Differential or Final Drive ratio of your 00 GTP is 3.29:1 .
-The Overall ratio of that trans is 2.93:1 because of the sprockets for the drive chain, which in your trans is a 37 tooth Drive sprocket and 33 tooth Driven sprocket.
-Here are the gear ratios for the 4T65E
1st 2.92:1
2nd 1.56:1
3rd 1:1
4th (OD) .070:1
Reverse 2.38:1
Be careful how you word your question.
Your differential ratio is 3.29. But, due to different numbers of teeth on the drive/driven sprockets of the HD transmission, your actual final drive ratio becomes 2.93.
First gear for all 4T65Es is 2.92.
Edit: Damn, beaten by Trannyman.
ok, i see... now i plan to eventually get the intense LSD in my car, if i get the one with 3.29 gearing in my car then that is the stock ratio?
oh... ok, i think hey have options on the lsd's for higher ratios... you would need to tune the car to make this work with the speedometer and everything right?
I seriously doubt they have options for different ratios, as the previous posters said, ALL HD diff are 3.29:1. The gearing changes come through changing the sprockets on the chain on the input side of the trans. Now, they may offer to have different VSS reluctor wheels installed on the diff for different gear ratios, but those don't change the gear ratio itself, they are just for tricking the computer after you have changed the sprockets.
