    Hey everyone,

When driving my 07 GXP, right around 50-55 when I am driving under regular acceleration, I notice my RPM's jump right before shifting:

Starts around 13 seconds or so.

Is this normal or should I get this looked into?

Might just be the torque converter locking.

If your converter is locked during 3rd gear, it unlocks before the trans shifts into 4th. The two actions are supposed to occur almost simultaneously, but the delay tends to grow on higher-mileage transmissions. Mine does the same unless I disable lockup during 3rd gear, but then MPG's suffer a bit since most of the streets I drive are 35-45. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but a fluid/filter change probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Thanks for the replies, feeling a bit better about it now. I called and made an appointment Monday for a pan drop, fluid/filter change. Will get it in on Saturday.
