Still waiting for sonnax. I cal every day so as soon as I know you guys will know.

I would just call Dave @ TEP about the valve body, his stage 2 valve body comes with those upgraded valves. I just got mine back from him a month or so ago. Send him your VB and spacer plate and he will send it back ready to go. All new solenoids too etc. Def worth it!

some good info on gmpp trans chains - Page 2 - TCG

dave at 3ep put up a good point that increasing that surface area is gonna make its clamping at any given line pressure to be way above the other gear clutches so its gonna slam..... since you cant adjust line pressure relative to current gear.
i could see using a stiffer spring in the 2-3 accumulator to try and ease pressure rise with a larger volume but ultimately you arent gonna be extremly happy at part throttle upshifts unless you make your other gears relatively soft via main line pressure

Basically, Matt says it's a good idea to 100% line pressure: everything

    Well....

Really all I'm saying is someone said Dave said shifts into and out of third will be much more abrupt regardless of any attempt to modify line pressure.

But I'm not sure I follow entirely. I see you can set the line pressure for shifts separately in a 3800 P03/P04 PCM. I'm not sure how that translates into the transmission though.
