02 GTP tranny swap

My forward band broke in my '02 GTP and I'm wondering 2 things:
1. I found a used '02 trans from a non-GTP, can I make this work in my car?
2. Could I use the parts from the non-GTP to fix my trans?
Short on cash and need to get my car running asap to get to work.

Just swap the differential from your trans to the non supercharged one and you should be golden.

Is it only the differential and passenger side axle that need to be swapped out?

If you swap the diff only, the gear ratio will be different. This may or may not throw a code.

I'd say swap out the gears (driven gears) on the new transmission so that way the ratio's match. While you are in there, I'd put a hardened set of chains (off a GXP) and a hardened 4th shaft in. I only say this because it is 100000x easier with the transmission out of the car, lol.
