Ok so i just bought my grand prix a couple months ago it is a 2000 GTP and when i am like going around a corner and like brake and slow down then give it some gas around the corner it seems like the tranny may slip a little and then catch another time it happens is like when i am behind someone who is turning and i slow down and then press the gas it seems like it does the same thing an one more thing this has only happened a few times since i have had the car when i backed up and put it in drive it seems like it kinda slipped for just a sec and then it goes but like i said that has only happened a couple of times any help would be appreciated

    Thanks,

    TJ

Make sure the fluid level is up...if the pump sucks air then your trans is going to slip until it can pick up fluid, and it sounds like this is whats happening going around corners (gravity may be moving the fluid to one side of the transmission around corners)

ur gonna wanna get a scanned with a real scanner...not autozone scanner or anything like that, any reputable shop should do it for free.ur problem sounds IDENTICAL to what i had.

i paid 275.00 but a friend of a friend owns a shop and i got a deal, the solenoid itself isnt expensive...but make sure u get a BORG WARNER solenoid if thats ur prob.and i was just makin sure with the scanner alotta ppl go to autozone etc etc.

agreed, if its not a tech2 scanner i wouldn't trust it 100%....Ive seen some of those "expensive" scanners fail miserably (notably a recent snap-on model)
