Will the transmisson from 1998 Regal work in a 2001 bonneville SSEI. I know that the regal trans has the webbing on the back to work in a G-body platform, but are there any other issues?

    Thanks in advance.

It wont work without problems. All 00+ Bonneville transmissions used an internal range switch, the Grand Prixs up until 02 used an external switch. The cooler line fittings on the trans case are also different and a 98 case wont work with the 01 style fittings.
