Driving home from work the other day I look down and see that my RPM's are sitting around 3k and I'm doing 65 mph. I down shifted the car to 3rd to see if the RPM's change and they didn't. I have a 4th gear shaft to put in the trans but I don't want to pay a shop a thousand dollars to do this for me. Im always up for learning to do something new but I've never tackled fwd trans before.

I'm going to guess that it will probably need more than just the 4th clutch hub replaced.

I've decided if I can find some one willing to help me just do a full trans swap I'm going to buy TEP's new budget trans for 1375 shipped and pay some one to help me do the job and still be under the price that shops want to charge me for a rebuild.
