I have a 2000 GTP and I installed a 98 transmission. The lines from my 2000 GTP that run from the transmission to the radiator were different then the lines on the 1998. I cut the lines in half, and spliced the two together.

Here is my question, I just bought a ZZP oversized radiator and got the 97/98 year. If I buy some used lines off of a 1998 GTP, will those work?

    98 Transmission - ZZP oversized radiator for a 1997 to 1998 = in my 2000 GTP.
Yeah its a grand prix, so what, wanna fight about it.

is it going to work with your computer? I see at least 2 different id numbers for 2000, and it looks like at least one of them is a 2000 only

You will need to get the correct lines but otherwise it will work. I think on the stock radiators the quick connect fittings thread in to the radiator as do the threaded fittings, but I could be wrong on that! The trans will work fine, any 97-02 interchanges with given years pcms as long as you use the correct cooler lines and fittings. 99-00 was a crossover point for thread-in and quick connect fittings. I have heard that the new lines from the dealer for 98s are very price, in the $100 range, while I have bought lines for 04 cars for around $30 from the dealer, go figure.

Are there more then one kind of 1998 GTP tranny line? If 99/00 was the crossover then the lines on a 1998 should go right into a 98 radiator?

98s were all the same to my knowledge and most of 99s used the thread on lines also. A 98 line will definately work OK with a 98 trans and 98 style radiator.
