Ever change the fluid and filter?
no...do you think that will help ?
Interesting that it's slipping in first and reverse both. Typically you wouldn't see slippage in reverse as it's a seperate band. I agree wtih Smutty on the potential of a clogging filter. There's no reason it should be clogging, but it sounds like the trans might be starving for fluid. Yet..since it only gives you trouble at those initial moving from a stop, I'm thinking it's not fluid related and maybe converter.
rockout,
I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue with your vehicle. I agree with "BillBoost37", it may be related to the converter.
Have you modified the vehicle? Has the vehicle been repaired or serviced recently?

GM Customer Service
I thought the previous owner said he did but it doess not look like it ...It is more of a brownish red color...I thought flushing it might be a good place to start but everyone tells me if its slipping already it wont help ...
No modifications...had to take to gm dealer because my wiring harness was rubbing against the side of the manifold cover and gave me a p2433 code
Do a pan drop and filter change with a bottle of lucas stop slip. Dont flush it.
why is everyone so scared about flushing transmissions ? Dont they want to get all that stuff out of there ?
you dont want to flush your tranny, if you have un serviced high miles, it will kill your tanny instantly. all that crap is all that is holding it together.
being your at only at 50,000 miles, you could do a flush and survive, if your fluid is still nice and red that is.
Thank you to all my bros out there that helped me !!! Did the service and all seems good...Thanx again.!
