    So I was going down the road and when I was coming to a stop light I noticed a shutter from my car. I thought not much of it but when I took off it shifted early and viciously. I tried to put it in tap shift and the car shuttered and down shifted one gear, it felt like when it was in drive it was in 4th gear and when I put it in Tap Shift it went to third. I was only going 35-40 mph and when it was in tap shift mode i had no indicator on the HUD of what gear I was in, it was just blank and I was unable to shift gears using the paddles. So I turned it off and back on at a light, same stuff.

    Got home and let it sit for 5 minutes and worked for about 1/2 mile. I don't want to drive it I'm scarred

    I was thinking clutches are going bad on it, since on some cold days it will slip from 1000-3000 rpm then it will engage. If I go slow it will slip through 3rd until I hit that 3000 rpm clunk and it engages. Once it slips and engages it is fine after that or if I let it warm up a bit it will not slip.

    Just looking for opinions/thoughts about whats going on.
    Oh and I already am putting aside $3000 for a TEP trans, so I expect her to keel over soon just not too soon i hope.

    Get a scanner on it that can read trans codes.

    Its possible a code is present.
