Tranny lines removal

Hey guys, just before I was going to change my fluid my car sprung a good sized leak(3 quarts per 30 min drive), and thank god i didnt damage my transmission. Anyways found it to be my tranny cooling lines. My question is how do you remove the lines connecting to the radiator? To my understanding there is a spring that holds the line in place but I have no idea how to decompress this spring. Any help would be great thanks!

Oh sorry! 99 buick regal gs I was told quick connect fittings and there is a spring but that was about it I'm unsure how to release the spring so that i can remove the lines

If you take a look at the fitting, there is a small c-clip that runs around the edge of it near where the line connects. Use a small pick and keep a magnet next to it at the same time and walla. Clip pulls up. May need a pair of needlenose pliers to pull the clip. Then just pull on the line and it pops out.

If that clip is the same as on my 00 GPGT, then it should have 3 little indentations on it that show where it clips into the openings on the fitting upon reassembly.

There is technically a tool to push in and release it..like a fuel line. I haven't bought one yet though.

Pick and be careful... they are junkyard/dealer only if one flies across the room into the unknown.

bill seriously, i dont know whats wrong with the people you go to..I have found pretty much "All" "impossible/dealer/junkyard" parts at my store.

Theres a tool? really??? Ive never heard of that! The clips are also "not supposed to be reused" ...they come with the seal kits we use, ive got handfuls of them.

Not supposed to be reused.. hmmm And yes.. someone sent me a link to it. Can't find it..but it slides up the line and with a twist..it expands the clip to let the line out.
