So I got rid of my stock transmission after the torque converter started acting up and not engaging at all and decided this would be a good time to upgrade to a tim king built trans since id have to pull the trans anyways...well now i am 1k into the tim king trans and the tc started not engaging today...could this be my luck or could a cars tune or something else be the cause? the first time the tc stayed stuck after i got a crappy tune from someone...

Seems like all of the Tim King transmissions people are buying are pretty much horse ****.

yeah i first had a problem with him sending me the wrong parts inside the trans so my drve was where neutral would be..it was one up. and now this..im wondering if a fresh tune with tranny settings adjusted would help...i hope its something dumb

LOL, so that manual valve and link were mismatched.

I'd put the stock trans settings in as a test. Totally stock.. no changes at all. If it keeps acting up, then check TPS and MAF first. Those will both control shifts/TCC etc etc. Then I'd think something was up with the trans. However if it was good for 1,000 miles it's odd.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
