so i just bought my first car and i bought it on saturday with 100xxx k on it. dorve fine untill i was on my way back to philadelphia from capemay and its starts to run a little hot and makes a ticking sound, and i was stuck in traffic on the exp and 2nd and 3rd shifted hard. when i sped up it stopped and after i drove it for a while over 40mph and slowwd down it didnt shift hard anymore. so today i put a new fuse in for my computer cause it was bad and couldnt read the computer at first,t but today i used my dads computer and says i have a bad torque conveter and my crank shaft is bad. i put new coolant in today and new transmission fluid in. what should i do before i put alot more money into somthing that could possibly be an easy fix becasue if sluge build up? i have a baby coming in the 1st week of august and cant put to much into the car now although id like to put whatever i have to in but i gotta await. and i dont wanna drive on it alot and have my transmission slowly self distruct. any help????????? i need best possible fix, if i have to ill rebuild my transmission but i wanna old that for worst case senerrio

Did the code come up as TCC?

    Torque Converter Clutch code?

If so, thats a solenoid/switch inside the transmission that needs to be swapped out.

And the crank shaft is also another sensor that can go bad, again it will need to be replace. But it could be a wiring problem somewhere. Too hard to say.

i reset the computer and going to wait till i put about another 50 miles or so then gonna run the computer again to make sure. but 3 codes came up po336 the crank position sensor. po716 the transmission speed sensor which i put new transmission fluid it cause it was a little low and that might of been the problem and the other code was po742 the torgue converter clutch. but again i reset the compouter and will check again after a little more miles to make sure its the problems i think it is so i dont go through to much trouble on trying to fix something hard that could possibly be a easy fix. ill keep updates on how the cars running. yesterday it didnt tick at all and today on my way home from work it ticked a little bit but for about 5 minutes. ill find out tomorrow if there are any more noises i should worry about.
