I am swapping my trans in my 97 gtp with a trans from a 2001 is there going to be any problems? Or anything I will need to do to get it to work? Thanks

im not sure but why were on this topic i just was curious to someone who might know, if you have performance shift in your car and you get a trans from a car without it would the performance shift still work? is the performance shift just computer and electronic?

From what I've read the lines to the cooler are different on 97 HD trans and 00+ so if I use my aftermarket cooler and bypass the factory cooler that should work and be less of a headache right? Lol

The fittings that go onto the trans at the other end of the line is what are different. Have to use the lines for the 01 then you can plumb your aftermarket cooler on the other end.

    Chris..you got it.

Eddie.. all the performance shift stuff relates to programming. Has nothing to do with trans. So yes..it works either way.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
