    my trans has 199k on it, will the synthetic VI mess it up by cleaning it out or should i go with DEXIII for cheaper fluid. i can get DEX III for 19.99 a gallon

    have no idea, i bought this car a couple months ago, just now getting around to doing a pan drop with new gasket and filter.

    i will not be flushing it.

    The Dexron VI is backwards compatible.

    Go to Walmart and see what the price of their Super Tech Dexron VI fluid is. I will bet its cheap.

    Had DexIII turn into Dr. Pepper in 30,000 miles. I picked DexVI this time.
    Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
    Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
    Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
