kay i know i am probably due for some maintenance, but here's my problem, there is an audible Popping/clunking sound coming from the car when i turn it on, shift it out of park, then shifting back into park, and shutting the car off.
i am assuming this is the transmission, but could it be anything else too?
and if it is the transmission, do i just need it serviced?
i will try to get a video with it once i find my camera

It could be motor or trans mounts.

Possible, but worn out motor and trans mounts could too. If yours are stock and you've never changed them then its time. Did it make this noise BEFORE you flipped the dogbone mounts?

No it did not make the noise beforehand. And with 212k on the body I figured it might be due for some maintenance

Sounds like you've found your culprit. I'd change out the motor and trans mount and see what that gets you. If the pop is still there then dogbones too. I wouldn't throw money at the dogbones just yet until you see what the new mounts do for you. I'd be willing to bet they are shot. Any vibrations while you're driving?

Only when shifting, otherwise the engine is pretty smooth
