well... did you take the spark plugs out? or is it like threw a rod seized?

edit: assuming you tried taking the spark plugs out since you're confident enough to do this yourself. i guess you could tear the heads off and then remove the oil pan to take the rod caps off and pop the pistons out the top.

Motor seized is normally hydro locked from upper intake failure it lower intake gasket failure. Take the plugs out to see if coolant comes out.

Even with a rod failure you should be able to move the crank one way or another a little. Put a socket on the front. Will it spin either way?

Did you pull the motor and transaxle in one unit or are you leaving the transaxle in the car?

If you pulled both engine and tranny the tranny should come off the motor with the torque convertor attached to the flex plate. The torque convertor should slide out of the transmission. You may then be able to access the torque convertor bolts.

Pulling only the engine will be difficult since there may not be enough room between the engine and subframe to separate the two.

the motor seized due to the oil getting superheated from something and gumming up. i believe it may be a spun cam bearing. the motor and trans are already out as one piece. ive rebuilt it before but i think the bearings weren't pressed in correctly. but im breaking it down now. i just need to know how to detach the torque converter without going through the bolts on the flex plate directly. if it requires disassembling some of the trans so be be... but i definitely need the trans off this thing one way or another haha

Just unbolt it since its out of car. The torque converter will come out attached to the flex plate. you may have to take bottom end apart so you can spin the crank to get at the bolts.

The crank has to turn in order to get the bolts out if the crank is in the block. There is too large of a lip on the motor to get anything around it in order to get the bolts w/o doing them from below or in the hole for the starter.

If the engine/trans is out. I'd gently slide the trans off the converter. This can hurt the input/pump shafts, but shouldn't if you don't have a ton of pressure on them. Then..tear the engine down til you can get it spinning or take th crank out and then pull it off.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

after research, i found out it is caused by "superheating." super heating can be caused by multiple ways depending on the configuration of the motor. in my case, i believe it was a spun bearing that restricted oil circulation. i also had the motor cam'ed, bored .030 over and some other goodies that i believed may have contributed to the speed of the superheating. an oil pump can also go bad to cause this or some kind of blockage can do it also(ex. spun bearing).

if anyone believes im wrong, please feel free to correct me. this is just what ive gathered based on quick research
