    Ok last week i unplugged my torque converter clutch and now my car is moving if i plug it in it wont move any answers or solutions

    check engine light on? if so get it scanned.

    Why did you unplug the TCC in the first place? 'Cause it was stuck in lock?

    If you give these guys some history/info they'll be able to help out. It's been a week and all you say is your still clueless.

    Ok first of all I would like to apologize about the missing info. Ok I have a 2000 Buick regal GS and the transmission all of a sudden stop in overdrive so I did what most have suggested I shifted it manually for a while then it wouldn't move at all so one day I unplugged the tcc and now it'll move in overdrive its pretty sluggish thou I can drive it normally after I baby it from a stop. I'm trying to figure out if the tcc is causing my transmission to have problems becuase I can guarantee if I plug it back in the car won't move I've always had reverse but nothing else until I unplugged the tcc the fuel mileage of course suffers and the check engine light is on because I unplugged the tcc and I have an exhaust leak but that's it I'm puzzled fellas any help would be appreciated if u need any other info I'd be glad to provide it

    I'm not a true transmission guy but I have done some work on the 4L65 valve bodies. To me, it seems that the valve body needs to be checked/rebuilt by a professional. The torque convertor may have also been compromised. This may get real expensive.

    Pull the dipstick and see if the fluid smells burnt. It should be a translucent red color. If its dark brown then, well, you know.

    If the TCC is not working correctly the vehicle may be stuck in overdrive. This is like a 5 year old trying to move a 12 speed bike from a stop in 12th gear. He or she would give up fairly quickly just like your Engine.

    Do you have power to the transmission? Kinda sounds like you might be limping in third only. Which is the default w/o power.

    In one of these links is the resistance and pinouts for everything. Check for power, and the proper ohms on all soleniods etc.

    Mr. Billboost first of all i appreciate you being patient with me i have alot of things goin on right now but anyway. I baby it everywhere i go. so could it be a soleniods is stuck to cause the transmission to quit like that, or in other words if i plug the tcc back in and fix the soleniods its a possibility the trans will work again

    You need to be Bill's hands and eyes by trying to do what he asked. Internet diagnosis requires the involvement of both parties.
    Also, it helps to know what year the car is and if it has been modified in any way. Include some maintenance/repair history as well.

    The first step in this process:
    Do a search and find the schematic for your transmission.

    Second step:
    Locate connectors on the transmission and check for main power and resistance across shift solenoids.

    Third step:
    Post your results. Someone will reply with further instructions.

    If you feel that this exceeds your abilities then get some help from a mechanically inclined friend. The above steps require the use of a DMM (digital multi-meter) or an analog multi-meter.

    Here's some links. One of them has the ohm readings of the soleniods. Power should be fairly easy to test and find or not find.

    Ok my car is a 2000 Buick regal I've just been goin thru a lot so bare with me. Me and a friend are gonna get the readings Friday and ill post the results as soon as I recieve them. My car isn't modified I only have a c.a.i other than that its stock
