has anybody ever changed the trans cooler lines on a 04 grand prix? And what"s the best way to pull the line going to the radiator just beneath the lower radiator hose? Any advice would be appreciated. -Joe

Both lines should be above the lower radiator hose where they enter the radiator. They are clip or click style fittings. So you buy a set of clips from teh dealer ahead of time. Then pull back on the piece of plastic covering the fitting and use a pick to send your clips across the room into the vast unfindable corner. Or be super careful with yours and skip buying a set. Then the lines are typicall held with a screw or plastic retainer to the lower radiator support and they click into the trans as well.

don't forget the 13mm holding the lines to the trans.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Haha yea those those clips really go flying.
The lower one i got the clip out and the plastic piece off but the line wouldn't come out at all. So i may just leave that one on. I even tried takeing the threaded fitting straight out of the radiator but since its so hard to even get to with it being under the radiator hose and next to a bunch of crap i can't even do it that way.
But i can get those clips from the dealership though?! I've definately lost a few clips this bout..

Yup...and their technical name is Effing transmission line holding clip. Parts guy will know exactly what you need.

I sometimes spray a little penetrating oil at them and then wiggle the lines loose.
