I have done a lot of searching on here and on google and can't seem to find out the answer I need. I am in the process of replacing my stock motor that has 199,xxx miles. Thought I might as well pull out the transmission and replace it with something that has less miles. There is a local guy selling a 4T65E out of a wrecked 1997 Buick LeSabre with just under 59,000 miles for $250.00. Would this transmission work in my 1999 GP GT?

I would double check its a 4T65. The H-bodies used the 4T60 in the 1997 model year

I think the gear ratio is also different on the lesabre compared to the grand prix GTs. Something else you may want to check.

Thanks. Got a picture of the id tag and confirmed that it is a 4T60-E.
